How to: Repair your Little One’s Doll hairย

Ugh, dolls, babies, barbies…Back in the day that had my sister written all over it, but me? Uh uh ๐Ÿ˜’ I just didn’t understand the hype. I wanted to do me, not take care of these other “kids” I wasnt a mom and no I don’t want to pretend either, too much work ๐Ÿค— and the maintenance on those dolls with their hair and trying to get on those tiny little clothes and shoes? NO THANK YOU. But of course, I had my fair share of doll playing, thanks to my mother who would make me play with my sister! Lol oh well I’d do the same thing to my girls ๐Ÿ˜

But anywaaays.. my Lilly is obsessed, with all of it! ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ™Š๐Ÿ˜‚ since she’s all about her dolls especially Monster High, they get disgustingly dirty. And I mean who think to bathe dolls right? Lol we’ll start, it’s much needed. Every so often, depending on how much your little nugget plays with them or where they take them (mine go to the park ๐Ÿ˜”&…everywhere else) they need to get a good scrubbing. But no worries, there’s a simple solution!

Shampoo/Dish Soap & Conditioner

  1. Brush out tangles as best as you can
  2. Wash hair with Shampoo or dish soap if it really dirty. Let it soak for a little while.
  3. Rinse with HOT water
  4. Let soak in a pot full of hot conditioner water for as long as you want, best over night.
  5. Rinse with HOT water.
  6. Brush & let air dry.

Yes, it’s a process ๐Ÿ™„ but it’s worth it. My little now has clean, beautiful dolls that she’s re-obsessed with lol and now I have peace of mind that they’re germ-free. I’m definitely keeping a closer eye on those dolls now and not letting them get so dirty. I wonder how they did not bother her? Lol, idk, kids ๐Ÿ˜โค๏ธ #gottaloveit

When to introduce food to your little human ๐Ÿ™Šโค๏ธ

Omg where did the time go? My baby is growing so fast! ๐Ÿ˜ She started eating rice cereal a couple weeks ago and I just gave her some mashed up banana tonight! She thought it was yummy ๐Ÿ˜‹ most babies do, they love that sweet stuff ๐Ÿ™ƒ

I like to do my research before I introduce anything new to my baby and I suggest you do the same, but of course Mama always knows best! ๐Ÿ˜˜  if you feel more comfortable checking with your doctor first, who am I to tell you otherwise..Better safe than sorry, right?
Well, so they say, to start baby with rice cereal at about 3 months of age and specific foods at 4-6 months. My little nugget is a little advanced so I started her on the early side. Slowly introduced rice cereal at about 14 weeks/ 3.5 months, by giving very small liquidy portions, for like a week to get her body used to digesting something other than my milk and I wanted to make sure she didn’t get constipated. Now it’s thick like applesauce๐Ÿ‘. Now she is 16 weeks/4 months and I have her some banana tonight, which she loved! Just a very small amount, like an inch of banana.

So we’ll see how that poopie is tomorrow ๐Ÿ˜

Here is a chart that you can easily reference for their 1st year:

Natural Remedy for UTI

Are you suffering from a UTI (urinary tract infection)?? They can be pretty painful. That feeling of having to pee like a race horse, except you don’t have to go at all. Burning or stinging when you pee. Its all horrible. If you have one, you need to take care of it ASAP because it could spread to your kidneys, which we all know is NOT what any of us want. There is something you can try before resorting to the doctors office for an antibiotic. They love to give those things out like candy, and they ruin your stomach.

I found out about my UTI after going forย myย bi-weekly OB checkup. Which I had no idea about, since I couldn’t feel it. Which is unusual. Ive had them before and its something I would’ve definitely noticed.

So in comes my doctor… she says “So you should’ve finished your antibiotic for your UTI. Have you done that?” I was like “Uhm..what UTI? I didn’t know I had an infection.” She says “Uh yeah, your test results from your last apt (2weeks ago!) came back for UTI. We called you 3 times and sent in your prescription.” I told her I never got any phone call but I did receive a letter this morning telling me to contact their office, because they couldn’t get a hold of me, but didn’t call since I was seeing her today. I checked with multiple people in her office to see if they had my contact info right because it hasn’t changed and I’m still getting my appointment reminder calls and texts. Lo and Behold, what do ya know, they have my CORRECT phone number and email. So you cant tell me you called 3 times and couldn’t get a response from me. Someone in your office dialed the wrong number over and over or you have me confused with another patient. Since I cant even feel my UTI I’m a little extra skeptical to take my prescription.

So I get to the pharmacy and they were confused on what I was waiting for since it didn’t show in their system right away. They had to pull up the history of my file. I guess because it was sent in so long ago? I filled it anyway and went home. On the drive, I kept thinkingย about how odd this situation was and ifย  I should even take this. So I got home andย then decided that this just didn’t feel right and I don’t like taking prescription anything unless it is absolutely necessary. Especially being pregnant. So I decided to follow my gut and not take it. I would try a home remedy first just incase I did have it even though I couldn’t feel it. So I went back to the store and purchased aย Cranberry Supplement . Take one a day until your UTI is gone. I’ve taken 2 more urine tests at my doctors office since then and I haven’t gotten any results back which means I don’t have it anymore, if I ever did.

During this time, I was curious to what I was prescribed so I looked it up online and OMG thank god I did, because it said NOT to take if you are in your last few weeks of pregnancy 38-40 weeks., because it could potentially cause a blood disorder in your baby. Which I was 38 weeks when she wanted me to take it! WTH. Why was I even prescribed this?!ย Thank goodness I followed my gut and did something natural instead. I knew the whole situation didn’t feel right and the cranberry pills did the trick without having the risk of harming my baby or my self.

So try a Cranberry Supplement or Cranberry juice first (not the cocktail) and always follow your instincts โ™ฅ
